“I knew I wasn’t built for a 9–5...”

I’ve always been a clean freak. For me, cleaning wasn’t just something I did — it came naturally. There was something about walking into a space and bringing order to it that made me feel powerful and peaceful at the same time. I didn’t see it as a job. I saw it as a gift.

But what I did know for sure was this: I wasn’t made for clocking in and out on someone else’s schedule. I needed freedom. Freedom to show up for my family. Freedom to make real money without asking permission. Freedom to create something that was mine.

So I started small. I cleaned a few houses. I worked hard. I over-delivered. I said yes to the jobs others didn’t want. And before I knew it, my side hustle became a business.

It wasn’t always easy — but it was always mine.

Over time, I built a team. At one point, I had over 40 people working for me. I went from cleaning homes by myself to managing multiple accounts, building relationships with clients, and creating job opportunities for other people. My cleaning business didn’t just provide for me — it became the reason my family was taken care of. It became a legacy.

Now I’m in a new season — one where I don’t just build for myself, I build for others too. I know how hard it is to start from scratch. I also know what’s possible when you’ve got the right tools and the right mindset.
